Zelda Marie-Birth

So... I've had some people ask if I would be starting a blog for Zelda so here goes.

The Birth

Tim and I headed to the hospital on Feb 2nd at around
3am since I was contracting and wanted to make sure I didn't go into late. We got there and they would have sent me home for a few hours however they didn't really like what they were seeing on the monitor as far as Zelda's movements. Her heart rate was to constant for them to really want to send me home. So we waited for me to progress further to go into the actual delivery area. But they continued to watch everything and gave me some morphine to make life a little nicer. Once in the labor area we had a really nice nurse who we found out attends the same church as we do and enjoyed chatting with her between contractions. Then when they asked me to change position to see if that would wake her up the heart beat dropped from about 140 to about 80. They called in a doctor to break my water and make sure it was
still her heart they were hearing. It was, so they rushed us into the operating room for a C-sect
ion. Once there her heart rate returned to normal (which they still didn't really like) and so after and hour and a half of observation and waiting for the doctor they still did the C-Section and she was delivered at 3:48pm on Feb 2, 2010.
