flat cap

A while ago we bought a flat cap for Zorro at superstore. But within a week or two it had gone missing. About a week ago Tim fixed my sewing machine (which I pretty much have never used since we bought it at the MCC sale) and I made a pair of pajama pants and tried my hand at some hats. I found a simple pattern with good pictures here and got to work. In just over one nap time I came up with the hat that Zelda is wearing below. It was to big for Zorro so I down sized and made another one (see bottom photo). Over all the pattern was great but I would like to shorten the brim and make the back corners less pointed and more conformed to the head. Hopefully in a bit I'll have it figured out the way I like it. I did find that a justing a hat pattern is more complicated then I originally thought :p
