Homemade Christmas Cards

I thought that maybe this year for the first time ever I should give out Christmas cards, but since I don't have time to make them and I'm to cheap to buy them, I got Zelda to help make them. Here is the first set that she made. All that I did was cut and fold the cards and paint the background on the red and green cards. I also limited her paint colours to red, white, and green. I thought that they turned out pretty great, and she had a lot of fun.

A photo from our second time around. This time she really wanted black and after a bit also wanted some blue so a few of these didn't look as Christmasy but they were still fun. One thing I do want to say about painting with kids is that if you want them to learn to paint give them good brushes. They won't wreck them to quick if you take the time to wash them once they are done. I just let her use mine that I have collected over the years.

Pretty paint.

Have fun!
Laura
